All of my grey hairs belong too....

All my grey hairs belong to....

Youngest Son!  Well, maybe not all of them, but most of them for sure!  When eldest son was little, he had a natural caution.  Little did I know how wonderful that was.  Youngest son has no caution.  He hurtles himself with abandon, with no regard to where he may end up!  If it is any indication, I keep a "Sideline Assessment of Concussion and a Concussion Symptom Scale Checklist" on a card next to youngest son's insurance card!  Tuesday, youngest son and his sister were playing roundy roundy on the concrete floor and let go of each other at the same time and youngest son lost his balance and bounced his head off the floor.  His pump knot was HUGE!  Then, Thursday afternoon, youngest son threw (or slipped - I still haven't gotten the complete story) himself off the back of our couch onto, you guessed it, the concrete floor.  He really rang his bell.  He fell asleep for about 15 minutes and woke up projectile vomiting, so off to the clinic we went.  He had a mild concussion, but no fractures.  I'm beginning to think that a football helmet might not be such a bad idea!

Here is the little hooligan doing things that are not quite to harmful to himself!

Listening to his sisters heartbeat....

Playing with Big Brother...

Doesn't he look innocent?

O.K., so there is a little bit of daredevil here -

So very helpful.

I have found that it is a lot of fun to have children when you are older.  I take more time, enjoy more, listen more and laugh more.  My youngest son is a gift from God.

  1. Dear Enola - your children are all a beautiful testament to you and your husband - you two have done a fantastic job!!!!

I hope to soon have children and as I am 40, I guess we just cross our fingers and pray!!! God's will...

But as much as I don't want to comment on all of your posts so that you don't have to check them all in your email - I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your honesty in all of your posts and that I really love the posts about your children...they are delightfull!!!

  2. We used to use Arnica oil for knots like that, but have switched to Helichrysum Essential Oil. Knots vanish in minutes. Neat, its a hemostat that works in seconds at stopping even severe bleeding. It stitches cuts back together in just hours too. Best stuff a mother can keep on hand!
We had to hunt around for better prices on it, and have settled on essential oil exchange.
