Unmasking the Liberal Agenda of Death

When I was growing up, my parents owned a store in the tiny town that shared our zip code.  Dad sold guns, ammo, tack, grain, used furniture and whatever else happened to come in to the "Horse Trader".  He also sold hunting and fishing licenses and was the town's only UPS drop.  Although the Horse Trader filled a niche in the local economy, perhaps its greatest contribution was that of a meeting place.

Every small town, especially isolated mountain towns, need a place for people to come together.  It is in these meeting places that lives are shared and burdens lifted, and that the woes of the world are passionately discussed.  The Horse Trader, with its homemade wood stove, bottomless coffee pot and locally made pastries was the very hub of community influence.

As a child and young adult, I spent many hours in the Horse Trader.  I organized and dusted and poured coffee.  And I listened.  I listened while conservatives ranted about eroding freedoms and liberals decried social injustice.  I listened while opposing sides discussed current events, mocking the others' lack of intellectual capacity.  I listened and I thought and I came to my own conclusions about the world around me.

Through the years, I have continued to follow current events.  I have continued to listen to opposing sides each trying to convince the people of their particular truth. I have filtered these "truths" through the empirical truth of God's word, and in the process, I have come to see the true agenda of the political forces at work in our world.  And what I see is death.

On the surface, the constant stream of propaganda fed to us by the media appears to promote unity and peace, safety and tolerance, however,  beneath the veneer of this great deception lurks the true agenda - death, on a massive scale.

Consider the facts.  Our progressively liberal academic and political masters, along with their public relations branch - the entertainment industry, preach a continual sermon of tolerance and safety and understanding.  We are supposed to tolerate an invading Muslim population, along with hordes of border-crashing foreign nationals, under the guise of sheltering displaced peoples.  The daily barrage of misinformation convinces us that we are treasuring life by sheltering the unfortunates.  They tell us that anyone who would choose to close our borders and protect our citizens are cruel and hateful, bigoted and privileged.  They tell us that they love their fellow man, implying that we live in hatred.  The truth?  The very people the liberals require us to shelter have cultures steeped in bloodshed.  Muslims, since the time they were called Moors, and before, have terrorized the world with hatred, radical intolerance and a wholesale bloodlust.  Every society that has embraced Islam, or has accepted Muslim refugees has been thrust into Islamic compliance or death - there is no middle ground.  There is no tolerance.  Compliance or death.

And what about the border-crashing foreign nationals?  They too, bring death.  Severed limbs wash up on our shores and dismembered bodies litter our streets.  Rape, murder and terror accompany these lawless predators.  And our liberal authorities continue embrace these purveyors of death, welcoming them in and giving them the keys to our cities.

But wait, there's more.  Liberals proclaim their love of life by encouraging mothers to rip their children from their wombs.  That is the deception - they speak of life yet promote the death of entire generations.

Blood is running in our streets, yet the progressives are not satisfied.  They need - they require more death.  After flooding our cities with violence, engendering a generational entitlement mentality and promoting mass addiction, our liberal leaders now seek to relieve us of the ability to protect ourselves.  They have unleashed a massive storm and are actively dismantling our only shelter.

The cry for gun control has grown louder and louder as society crumbles and decays.  The liberals, the elites, the media and the "useful idiots" all tell us that we need to do away with the Second Amendment - that we need to be "safe", that guns kill.  What they don't tell us is that guns in the hands of citizens save lives.  What they don't tell us is that freedom will cost something, but tyranny will cost everything.

Yes, with the freedom to keep and bear arms, people will die.  That is the cost of freedom.  But when the government disarms the people, the result is death - death on a massive scale.  Think of Nazi Germany, Syria, Botswana, and the list goes on.  And that seems to be the liberal agenda - death.  The  progressives narrative is that they are trying to save lives by disarming the population.  That is deception at its finest.  The truth is that our freedom to own guns saves lives.  A repeal of the Second Amendment would, in fact, cause blood to run in the streets.  Without the right to keep and bear arms, America becomes just another third world country, subject to the whims of  corrupt leaders.  Our protests will be with rocks and sticks - and their response will be with bullets.  Death will come on swift wings.

The liberal agenda isn't an agenda of life - it is an agenda of death.  Liberals love death - in all its forms.  Their policies promote the death of families and businesses.  They promote the death of economies and societies.  But mostly, they promote the death of people.

I choose life.

Highland Hunt & Trap Shoot

This past weekend, we enjoyed our Second Annual Tea & Trap Shoot.  The day dawned beautifully, slightly overcast with a gentle breeze.  Our tent was ready, having erected it early in the week, and all of the details had been carefully arranged.  Onion gravy was bubbling on the stove while potatoes boiled in a stock pot.  I had made scones, roasted bangers (sausages) and whipped up Devonshire cream.  I had just finished heating the teapot when guests began to arrive.

Friends and family came from miles away, wearing their best tartans and tweeds and bearing their favorite shotguns.  Men in kilts drank tea to the music of shotgun blasts and exploding clays.  There was fellowship, friendship and kindred unity in abundance.  It was the best of all things - prayer and tea, food and music, shooting and conversation.  It was a day of memories.

Gun Skins Revisited

As you know, we've been thrilled with our GunSkins, GearSkins and MagSkins.  They are an excellent solution for both aesthetic and tactical problems.  We have used them in many capacities, but mostly as a way to allow our children to customize their weapons without affecting their resale value.

Recently Sir Knight added another caliber to his collection - 300 AAC Blackout.  The 300 Blackout is an outstanding performer, however it is easily confused with a standard AR-15 (which is 5.56), since they are capable of sharing the exact same magazine.  Although this is a great advantage, it can also cause potentially deadly problems - the standard AR-15 is chambered in 5.56mm (approximately .22 caliber) whereas the 300 Blackout uses the exact same casing but with a 30 caliber bullet, which is .308.  This means that if you inadvertently put a Blackout round in a standard AR and it chambers, it will cause a catastrophic failure.  Enter MagSkins.  In order to quickly identify the Blackout magazines Sir Knight bought MagSkins and attached them to the magazines designated for 300 Blackout.  Now, at a glance, Sir Knight immediately knows whether he has an AR magazine or a 300 Blackout mag.  No catastrophic failures!

Another application Sir Knight has found for the GunSkins (in GearSkins form) is camouflaging pistols magazines in his Costa drop leg rig.  The old magazine holders had flaps that completely concealed the magazines, however, the new rig uses magazine holders called TACO's, made by HSGI.  They are very fast (pulling magazines), however, they leave the tops of the magazines exposed.  And since Springfield Armory makes their XD magazines out of stainless steel, they were too shiny.  Sir Knight found that installing GunSkins on the magazines eliminated the shine and camouflaged the magazines perfectly.

After GunSkins
Sir Knight opted to use Gear Skins rather than MagSkins since MagSkins are only available for rifle magazines, not pistol.  Out of paper, Sir Knight created a template, which he laid on the GearSkins.   He cut them and affixed them to the magazines and was very pleased with the results.

We have found the MagSkins and the GearSkins to be very versatile.  They effectively and economically solve finish related issues and have our highest recommendation.

Gear Talk - Rifle Slings

Sir Knight

After using several different types of slings - single point, two point and even three point rifle slings - and talking with operators who've used them while deployed, I've found a few slings that work well for our applications.  This is not a product review, because the use of rifle slings is completely personal - a sling system either works for you or it doesn't.  I'll share what we use and why, and maybe show you a few innovations you hadn't seen before.

My personal choice for a sling is a two-point sling.  I use the VTAC sling made by Viking Tactical.  It comes in every color you want, padded or not padded.  The quick adjustment, which is just behind your back, makes it very easy to loosen or tighten the sling.  As a matter of fact, you can suck it up hard against your chest with the simple pull of one hand, allowing you to bend over to render aid or do any other chores without having to take the weapon off.

Master Hand  Grenade prefers a single-point sling.  For whatever reason, I feel trapped in a single-point sling, however they do have other advantages.  The ability to shoot right or left handed is lightening fast with a single-point sling - not so with a double point sling.  However, you can't pull a single point sling tight against your chest.  The sling must be removed or the rifle slung backwards across your back.  Enter Master Hand Grenades new sling that may be a good compromise between both.  The Magpul MS4 sling.

And in double point mode
The MS4 sling works best when used exclusively with quick disconnect (QD) sling swivels (which are now standard, and sold everywhere).  By the use of a clever little metal bracket, this sling is able to be a single-point or a two point sling.  Master Hand Grenade loves this sling, however we have not yet had a chance to test it at the range.  The adjustments on the MS4 sling are easy to use (I still prefer the VTAC sling).

The quick disconnect sling attachments are so popular that most major AR-15 stock manufacturers are installing sockets for the QD slings into their stocks.  And to put a sling on the hand guards is just as simple and they can be placed absolutely anywhere.  By installing a rear plate at the butt stock, with a socket built into it, any single point sling with a QD can be hooked right into that rifle instantly.

Ultimately, you will have to research and try different slings to determine what would meet your needs.  Viking Tactical has instructional videos on their website and there are several Youtube reviews of the Magpul MS4.

Whichever sling system you decide to use, I am completely sold on the quick disconnect sockets and swivels.  There are times when a sling is just impractical or gets in the way.  With the QD setup, the sling can be removed instantly and shoved into a pack or a pocket.

Master Hand Grenade and I have found what works for us - We recommend both the VTAC and MS4 slings very highly.  You can't go wrong with either of them.
