Shameless Book Plug

Yes, I know this is shameless, however, The Prepared Family Guide to Uncommon Diseases has the BEST home care information for influenza that I have ever read!  The section on influenza was written by a doctor who was convinced that a deadly flu would eventually make its way to our shores and our hospitals would be ill-equipped to deal with the outbreak.  He wrote an easily understood, well thought out, comprehensive guide to dealing with influenza without access to modern medical facilities.  The section dealing with the flu is complete with symptom charts as well as treatment guidelines for every age group. A "Flu Treatment Kit" list is included, which every prepared family absolutely needs.  A few of the items recommended are:

  • Table Salt
  • Table Sugar
  • Baking Soda
  • Plastic baby bottle with rubber nipples
  • Plastic squeeze bottle
  • Composition-style notebook
  • Petroleum jelly
  • Pill cutter.....

and many more items.  The book will explain in detail what each item is used for and how many you need to have on hand.

As the flu sweeps across the nation, The Prepared Family Guide to Uncommon Diseases could become your most well-used resource.  It is available for immediate shipping through Amazon.  Be well!

  1. This is going to come across as conspiracy quackery and I don't care. Avoid the flu shot. As a firefighter I had/have free access to a yearly flu shot and was highly encouraged to get it. Got sick after every shot, every year. Quit getting it several years ago and have been far healthier. I know, that's not scientific, just anecdotal. Don't care! I don't trust my government or the health care community that I'm still a part of. I will never willingly take another flu shot or any other preventative injection.

    1. Exactly! My dear parents dutifully get their flu shot every year. And I kid you not, within a couple of weeks, they come down with a nasty case of the flu!

      Coincidence? I think not!

  2. Enola,

    (captaincrunch)

Yeah' your right, however. My cure all is a Whataburger, Doublemeat with Jelepeno's and lots of very Hot Foldgers Instant Coffee.

That stuff will nuke them bugs right outta ya' (if it don't kill you first:)

  4. The photo of your husband kneeling in prayer, with his rifle is a beautiful sight.

I love your blog, your family and you. What great people. After I read all my prepper/political blogs telling me of what's coming in this world, I turn to your blog for comfort and solace.

    Thank you so much.

  5. Hello Enola,

I would like to put a "plug" in for this book as I had purchased it some time ago and I think it's a great book with loads of easily understood information and should be on everyone's book list to have as a reference book. I've used it already and have passed on helpful information to my son and family. My mother has looked the book over and agrees that it's a great helpful book too. Simple and very effective! It could save your life and someone you love! Thanks for all that you do to help your readers and friends out here.
