No, YOU move

"Doesn't matter what the press says.  Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say.  Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right.  This nation was founded on one principle above all else:   The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences.  When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth and tell the whole world -- No, YOU move."

                                                              J. Michael Straczynski

  1. To that list of the mob, the press, the whole world you can add today's 501c3 IRS-controlled Pastors who preach that Christians are to submit to government. They are today's Pharisees. Christ didn't move and the government was on Him. Government persecution is throughout the Bible. Nothing new is happening. Christ told His people if necessary to sell their clothes and buy swords (which were ILLEGAL to own!).

Look closely. There are find some brave Patriots and Pastors who are publically drawing lines in the sand for liberty. Find them. Join them. Don't move. Don't bow. Pray.

  4. GOD says to submit to your government...UNLESS it demands you to do something against GOD's law. Romans 13, the story of Daniel, etc...GOT BIBLE?

    1. Let's start with murder. How many innocent human beings must a government murder (or provide cover for) before you call it evil? Seriously, give us a number.

Anyone calling themselves a Christian and believing God wants them to bow to evil government, I suggest reading, 'Romans 13: The True Meaning of Submission' by the Oath Keepers' Chaplain Chuck Baldwin. Too busy? OK, Google 'Pastor Jonas Clark Lexington'.

    3. Hey anon 147pm, I agree with you. In the Bible God uses wicked rulers for his purposes. Christians are to submit to their government wicked or not, BUT are not to violate God's law in doing so. So for example, abortion is evil and a sin, if the government FORCES a Christian to have one the Christian is not to comply. The stories of Daniel, Moses, and Joseph are perfect examples of how the Godly are to function in a Godless society

  6. brothers fighting brothers brings no glory to the Father of us all. Let each do what God leads him to do, in obedience to the Holy word and submission to the Spirit of the living God.

  7. Reblogged at http://wearethenewbarbarians.blogspot.com/

I have always been an admirer of JMS and the themes he writes about. His series Babylon 5 really is my all time favorite TV series.

  8. When Straczynski wrote those lines for Cap in Civil War, I thought I'd died. I printed the page, hung it up, and read it every day before I went out the door. It's a great reminder to do what is right, no matter the cost. You will lose friends, you may lose family, but you will never lose yourself.

We purchased your books about a three months ago, most needful for everyone. Cookbook is so much more than recipes. Our children are having a great time learning about diseases and history.

  10. No, there is a time and place to stop submitting to an evil government.

Should America have remained under the British Crown even after it became clear that the Crown's only purpose in establishing colonies was exploitation?? Should the rest of the world have continued to submit to the British, Spanish, and French monarchies??

How about a fresher example?? Rhetorical question-- What, precisely, do we call those Germans (Austrians, Poles, Dutch, French, et cetera) who meekly submitted to Hitler's government?? And what do we call those who resisted?? I suppose God might have had a purpose for Hitler-- without the genocide of the Jews, Israel might never have been established-- but that purpose was not achieved through meek submission.

To everything there is a season-- a time to submit, and a time to rise up.

I can't tell you, unfortunately, when those times are. I'm still struggling with that myself. I will, I fear, be cast out with the rest of the cowards.
