These are the Days of Our Life

What we have been up to....
Some folks will fall asleep anywhere!
The most bizarre egg we have ever seen
A cowboy's coffee break
Reconnoitering
A big ol' flock of pelicans on the lake
The modern cowboy's steed (and best friend)
If only he could figure out how to make his pony go!
What is a rainy afternoon without tea and cookies?
Perfectly Chewy Gingersnaps

3 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
additional sugar

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs and beat well.  Mix in molasses.  Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt and nutmeg.  Mix well.  Refrigerate for 1 hour or until dough is easy to handle.

Roll into 1" balls;  roll in sugar.  Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheets.  Bake at 350° for 8 - 12 minutes or until puffy and lightly browned.  Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire rack.

  1. Thanks for the update. And speaking of what's been going on with you folks....is there any update on the non-electric washer kit that your husband was designing? Is he still planning on producing it?

  2. Thanks for the recipe. Hubby's mother used to make the best ginger cookies, but I could never get them s-o-f-t like hers. I'm gonna give this recipe a try.
