Book Bomb

This is it!  Today is the day for the much anticipated release of James Wesley, Rawles newest book "Survivors".

While technically a sequel to his bestselling book "Patriots", the storyline actually takes place contemporaneously.  For those of you who haven't read the "Patriots" (come on - really?), it follows a group of young, preparedness  minded folks who have seen the writing on the wall and taken steps ensure their survival during a major economic and societal collapse.  It is really the ultimate preparedness manual cleverly disguised as a riveting novel.

"Survivors", while following the same time-line as "Patriots", tracks the lives of a number of people who have happily gone about their lives, ignorant of the fact that there could come a day when life as they know it could abruptly change - forever.  "Survivors" takes the reader on a whirlwind tour of a post-crash society as seen through the eyes of the unprepared.

I highly recommend JWR's preparedness library (Patriots, How to Survive the End of the World as we Know it, Survivors) (and his IMMENSELY informative blog, Survivalblog!).  Rereading "Patriots" always spurs me on to define and refine my preparedness plan.  And "Survivors", painting a realistic picture of life with no plan to survive the harsh realities of a crash,  has given me a glimpse into how the other half lives, and how I can further prepare to help my fellow man.

As I mentioned, today is the release day for Mr. Rawls "Survivor".  This is a MUST have!  I would love to see it fly onto Amazons Bestseller list - and you can help.  Go to Amazon and order his book today, or just click on the link below.  Luck favors the prepared!

  1. Sounds interesting-I should read "Patriots" first, I suppose.I'm ordering gifts, so a couple copies of each... Check your local used bookstore for Dean Ing's "Pulling Through" and "Chernobyl Syndrome". Science fiction blended with how-to. Very good reads.

  2. I'm happy to report that "Survivors" appears to be plateauing on Amazon at #2, overall, and #1 in the Action/Adventure category. (And the Kindle edition is #3 in Action/Adventure.)

    Thanks, folks!

  3. Enough of that plateauing, let's get Survivors all the way up to the Summit where it belongs!

  4. Yeah' I ordered my copy yesterday morning. The four corners region where the story takes place is not too far from where I am from in West Texas.

In Texas anything that is a six hour drive or less (at 85 MPH some state speed limits) is considered "close by"
