Terrorism: n
The calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear.
Have you noticed the not-so-subtle national change of perception regarding terrorists? Once upon a time we believed that terrorists were wild-eyed crazies with bombs strapped to their bodies wreaking massive destruction on a cowering populace - in far-away third-world countries. Silly us. Thankfully, our government has re-educated us. We now know that the real terror threats are much more insidious and difficult to detect. Homegrown terrorists - the real threat to the safety of our nation - can be found right in our own backyard. They are in our churches, our military and in the local Cabela's store. Terrorists are especially prevalent down lonely dirt roads and in isolated pockets of rural America. Heck, our very country was framed by radical terrorists! Can you believe how misguided we have been? Now, thanks to our government, we know that terrorism doesn't require any physical action at all but rather is simply present in "seditious thought".
Well, I for one am grateful to be armed with this new, revolutionary information. Knowledge is power, you know. Next time I see a news cast televising the destruction of lives and property at the hands of crazy-eyed folks with bombs strapped to their person, I will know they are just exercising their "religious freedom" and all is well. But you can be certain that now that I have been made aware of the real threat, I will be on high alert - ready to intercept "seditious thoughts" at every turn. With a new awareness of what constitutes terrorism, I can plug my children's ears when confronted with such life-destroying ideas as individual liberty! We can run screaming if we have the misfortune to come face to face with a returning military veteran. And don't even get me started about the so-called "Patriot Movement"!
In an effort to win the battle on the War on Terror, we must be educated. We must be on high alert, especially around:
- Those that are "suspicious of centralized federal authority"
- Anyone that "is frustrated with mainstream ideologies"
- Citizens that have "bumper stickers" that are patriotic or anti U.N.
- Those that possess "a belief in the need to be prepared for an attack either by participating in paramilitary preparations and training or survivalism"
And the list goes on and on. Please make sure to read the full text here! You don't want to miss a thing - your very survival could depend upon it!
Well, I'm ALL OVER that list. (and so is just about everyone I know)
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah! Read that list yesterday. I'm ALL OVER it too. Funny thing about it is the PTB should be concerned about me. If I had my way we would kick them ALL out and start all over! No need for violence, I just want them all gone. They don't have the country's interests at heart, only their own power. Don't worry though, I'm not holding my breath! I was just stunned when I read the list! It includes almost the entire country! Sigh... The country I grew up in, and served from '87-'91, is gone. I'm afraid that I may not live long enough to see it return.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or do any others of you see that we may be heading down a slippery slope towards another civil war here in the U.S.? "These are times that try men's souls." I don't remember who said it, but it certainly applies today.
Be safe everyone!

I was "Snipe" on a tender and I spent some time in a squadron at NAS Norfolk. I was in the same time as you.
yeah' I agree with you. This stuff keeps and gets worse this country will fly apart. Read the book "Enemies and Traitors, Foreign and Domestic" by Matthrew Braken (The Blue Book of the three) it lays down the best scenario I've read yet for a "Balkenization" of the U.S. I don't want to see it happen, but alas' we are on that path.
" Funny thing about it is the PTB should be concerned about me. If I had my way we would kick them ALL out and start all over!"
ReplyDeleteAnd that's why they are worried about you.
And to think, 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not a how-to manual!
We all saw what the politicians have done and tried to do to the Tea Party. The Tea Party is dangerous to politicians because they want to make politicians follow the constitution and reduce spending and taxes. We all remember the Tea Party demonstrating in Washington and watching Nancy Pelosi and the black caucus lock arms and walk through the crowd (with police escort of course). This was a staged event in the belief/hope that aomeone, anyone would shout out something racist. It didn't happen! So the politicians walked through the underground tunnel to the other building so they could make the walk again. But this time one of the black caucus claimed to hear something racist shouted from the crowd. No one else heard it. None of the many cameras and tape recorders caught it. But the sharp ears of this congressman pciked it up out of the crowd and the noise. Why? Because they needed it to denigrate the Tea Party. It was this underhanded process that shut down the tea party in the 2012 election and gave us a second term of Obama. It was the massive voter fraud and dirty politics that gave us a president and a congress determined to destroy our constitutional republic. But too many people are waking up and smelling the coffee. So the Liberals must do more, must scare their base and isolate the enemy (you and me and anyone else who loves the constitution and our country). This is a coup, make no mistake, they are taking over the country.

I copied that top line off of your latest post's Enola.
It sounds more like what the U.S. Government is doing. Kinda makes me wonder who the real bad guys are????
On a related note, this garbage with helping out the Muslim Brotherhood and other terror groups topple regimes in the middle east is something we should "NOT" get involved in.
Its my theory that a back room deal was made with terror groups for our government to assist them in any way possible to take down other countries and create a muslim celephate on the condition they will no use terror attacks against the United States.
There is some very "sinister stuff afoot" and I think our leaders have make a deal with the devil.
You and I know what happens in the end when you make a deal with the devil.
This and other reasons are why I said before "keep your kids out of the military"
This country is in bed with some really, really bad people. Now the political machine is calling muslim terrorist freedom fighters and labeling God fearing normal Americans terrorists???
and you guys wonder why I've talked about relocating to a nice quiet beach in Central America so I can hang out on the beach and surf the rest of my life away.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that didn't fall under one or more of those categories. I must live in Terrorist Central then-I saw three or four Gadsen/Don't Tread on Me flags just walking down to the Post Office.
ReplyDeleteIf you are like us, many of your loved ones refuse to see or hear truth. Why is it so difficult to motivate people to prepare for the protection of their loved ones? Well, for starters they first have to accept the reality that the country they think they live in, simply no longer exists. One look at this list should remove all doubt.
ReplyDeleteAs to those of us who 'get it', we must realize that knowledge is a blessing. But knowledge without action is a waste of that blessing.
Our children will bow only to God, not government tyrants. Make no mistake, tyranny is going to come knocking on YOUR DOOR. Neutrality will not be an option. Folks, "To whom will your children bow?"
