A New Day is Dawning

Not to be confused with the original, this is just an example of what our Declaration of Independence might look like if written today....

A New Declaration

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political ties which have connected them with another, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights - that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.  To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.  Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.  Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly, all experience has shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the governments to which they are accustomed.  But, when a long train of abuses evidences a discernible pattern designed to reduce the people to living under absolute Despotism, it is their right - it is their duty, to throw off such a government and provide new guards for their future security.  Such has been the patient suffering of these United States; and such is now the necessity which compels them to resume their former system of government.  The history of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of our government has a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all resulting in the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.  To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.


  • Government's refusal to establish and maintain a reasonable budget, thus reducing the United States to the position of an untenable debtor
  • Government's refusal to establish and maintain uniform immigration and naturalization rules, in accordance with Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution
  • Government's illegal and illicit establishment of the use of Drones in U.S. airspace, in direct conflict with Article IV of the Bill of Rights
  • Government's illegal infringement upon the rights of the people to arm themselves - the surest protection against tyranny, as guaranteed in Article II of the Bill of Rights
  • Government's refusal to comply and adhere to the laws which they enact upon the people
  • Government's consistent usurpations of the freedom of speech ("hate" speech legislation) and freedom of religion (banishing Christianity from any State entity, including schools) in direct conflict with Article I of the Bill of Rights
  • Government's illegal search (TSA, wire taps, data mining, internet monitoring, mass police "safety checks" etc.) and seizure (TSA, IRS actions, etc.), in direct violation of Article IV of the Bill of Rights.
  • Federal Government's usurpation of powers reserved expressly for  the State or the people as delineated in Article X of the Bill of Rights
  • Government's repeated failure to govern itself, expressly a refusal of each branch of government to hold the other branches accountable - exercising a limitation of power (the Judiciary branch acting as the legislative branch)
In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms - through correspondence with our legislators, through peaceful protest and through exercising our duty at the ballot box.  Our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury.  A Government whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Also, we have not been wanting in attentions to our representatives.  We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us.  We have reminded them of the circumstances of our citizenship.  We have appealed to their familial justice and magnanimity, and we have appealed to them by the ties of our common kindred to cease these usurpations, which would inevitably disintegrate our connections and fidelity.  They too, have been deaf to the voice of justice and of common national connection.  We must, therefore, succumb to the inevitable, which is to proclaim our separation, and hold them (government), as we hold the rest of mankind - Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, as representatives of the people of the United States of America, in general consensus assembled, appeal to the Supreme judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do in the name of the good people of these States; solemnly publish and declare, that these United States are, and of right ought to be free and independent states.  And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

    Wow! did you guys come up with that yourselves???. This one's a whopper. The one on the "goverments refusal to maintain immigration standards" (no.2) hits home with me being down here in South Texas.
    We have ranchers that have surrounded thier houses with "chain link" electric fences (very high voltage) to keep the Mexicans (illegal aliens) out. We also have DHS drone aircraft patrolling the border down here. I live near an airbase and I see a drone coming in on approch almost every evening at about 10:00 or 10:30 pm. On summer evenings Im out front drinking "Shiner Bach Beer" and eating a bag of Dorito's when the drone slowly comes in with all of its LED AOA lights on and I hear its low humming sound (darn things are slow too)
    I make sure to give a "Middle Finger Salute" to the camera operator as he is checking out the label on my beer bottle. Maybe this Spring I will go outside and "Moon" the drone some night.

  4. It is time to vote with your feet. Leave the clergy who cower behind their pulpits while their censored 501c3 government corporations bow to government, not God. And flee America's 'Slave states'. I moved to a 'Free State' in the Redoubt and never looked back. God still reigns here.

    GUN CONFISCATION WITHOUT WARRANTS AND DUE PROCESS HAS BEGUN IN CALIFORNIA! They say they are confiscating from convicted felons, but the article also says "people who have had restraining orders" placed against them. Note the husband and wife who had 3 guns removed from their home without a warrant or a day in court because the woman had spent 2 days confined to a mental hospital (which she notes was overblown and exaggerated by a nurse). Also looks from the pics like these multiple police officers came at NIGHT. SCARY!!!! And scary how fast this is all moving and playing out.

    I personally believe the police departments have been so militarized over the past decade or so that they will carry out all unlawful orders of their superiors. I would like to trust the Oathkeepers, but I am not holding my breath. Victim/victimizer mentally takes hold when a populace is overtaken by swift, sweeping, irrational tyranny.

  6. "Never in any form, since the United States became an independent nation, has it acknowledged the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, nor professed subjection to his law. The convention that ratified and unanimously signed the present Federal Constitution, could not have meant to do so, as is demonstrated by many solid arguments. The question was debated, and a very large majority refused to insert any acknowledgment of God, or of the religion of his Son. Had this not been done, the members were men of too much discernment, to have overlooked, through inattention, a matter of so great magnitude. If they intended to acknowledge Christ, it would have been in such terms, as to admit of no doubt. There were many deists in the convention, such as Benjamin Franklin, Robert Morris, Thomas Mifflin, Governor Morris, and James Madison. Governor Morris and Thomas Jefferson, affirm that General Washington was also a deist. Yet all these infidels signed the constitution. Would they have done so in the presence of those who knew them to be opposed to revealed religion had the instrument been christian. Could the Presidents of the United States, three of whom, Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe, were certainly infidels, numerous members of congress, Governors of States, and many other officers of the General and State governments, have sworn to the Federal Constitution, had it been understood to recognize the headship of Messiah, whom they held to be an impostor? It has never been the understanding of the nation that the constitution acknowledges the Lord Jesus Christ, or professes subjection to his laws. All infidels have sworn to the support of that instrument, and no one has ever thought of charging them with inconsistency. The present President of the United States, in his message to congress, at the opening of the extra session of 1837, says: "The will of a majority of the people is the supreme law, in all things that come within the jurisdiction of the Federal government." In all the opposition to his administration, this sentiment has never been called in question. The politicians of the nation, would generally reject with detestation, the doctrine, that the constitution binds to the acknowledgment of the Bible as the supreme rule of legislation in this commonwealth. All these arguments are sealed, by the following provision. "No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."This prohibits the passage of any law excluding gamblers, whoremongers, slaveholders, profane swearers, sabbath violaters, gross idolators, blasphemers of the divinity of Christ, deists or atheists, from access to the highest honours of the land, for to exclude any of these, would be to require a religious test. A man might be convicted of any and even of all these sins, and yet be eligible to any office. Here is a flat contradiction to the Bible. "He that ruleth over men must be just ruling in the fear of God." 2 Sam. 23:3. If the constitution acknowledged Christ, the christian religion, or Jehovah, in any article directly or indirectly, it would thereby establish a religious test, as no deist or atheist could swear to its support. This sweeping clause is found in the conclusion of a section declaring, "that all executive and judicial officers both of the United States and of the several States shall be bound, by oath or affirmation, to support this constitution." It has been pleaded that this provision acknowledges the christian religion . But how vainly? Heathens swear oaths. An atheist might come into office by an affirmation. The concluding sentence forbidding all religious tests, shews how anxious the framers were to avoid even a seeming acknowledgment of God or his holy religion."

    Dear Anonymous March 12, 2013 at 5:30 PM: A fact check session not withstanding, what does your post have to do with Enola's submission for a modern declaration? I read your entire rant because I kept expecting you to get to the point of why it was relevant to this thread, to no avail.

    My life is a Country Song


    I dont mean to get off topic but I got in big argument with my boss at work today (for those of you that dont know I work in a redneck diesel repair shop in the South Texas oil field) We cuss, fight and argue alot. Very disfunctional male soap opera. We are over worked, over stressed and we make a lot of money. My boss who yells at me alot came in the office and started to yell at me.

    Im stressed already and Im sick of his crap and I just yell back at him (all this in front of two other managers who just stood there like deer in the headlights) I did not screw up what he thought I screwed up and he was chewing me out and did not know the whole story. After I snapped back at him, he just walked quickly out of the office, with a furious look on his face. I saw him shake with anger (he was really shaking)

    This idiots on blood thinners and other stuff and I thought he was gonna bust' and aorta or something. Thank God I dont know CPR' becouse then I would be forced to save him or something.

    At lunch I drive off to see if the competition has any job openings. I go in there and behind the counter is the most attractive lady I have seen in a while. Shouldler length blond hair' eyeglasses (I dig the smart chick look) nice figure with a little meat on her bones (it looks like from her body she has a kid or two under the age of ten) No ring on her finger!!!
    She had nice classy clothes on, well dressed. I can tell she's a classy chick, not high end, she just carries herself well.

    I walk up to her and say ah' er' is your manager in. The manager was on the phone she said in a nice professional demeaner.

    The manager was on the phone a long time and I was burning up my lunch hour so I told her' thanks anyway. I will just come back another time.

    I gotta find an excuse to go back there or something. Im not to worried about my job and quite frankly I really dont care (I just do the best I can, he can fire me if he wants, but in the oil field, good workers are hard to find)

    As per the lovely lady behind the counter, well I will figure something out. How can a lady like that not have a ring on finger in the oil field already. We got oil coming out of our ears' but we are really lacking on eligible single females. It would be nice to come back to my house at night and have colorful plastic toys all over the floor instead of olive drab ammo cans.

    Well' its 3:46 am, I gotta eat a tv dinner for breakfast and get to work.

  9. @Don, The above was a quote see the " "? The facts are accurate. The point is: WITHOUT CHRIST AS KING A NATION IS DOOMED. Leave CHRIST out of your little documents and allow religious pluralism, don't be surprised at what you end up with. GOD bless america? I don't think so....

      @ capt. crunch, Never mind man. Getting off topic is what you do, and when you paste a long submission like that we have to read through the whole thing only to find out it has nothing to do with the thread. I guess I could just start fast-scrolling when I see the word "captain crunch". (Enola, I will not be hurt if you scratch this submission as argumentative. I'm just tired of having to deal with this word machine who expects us all to like to hear him talk as much as he does, every subject, every day, over and over, multiple times PER THREAD. {P.S.- Outstanding effort on the declaration by the way})
