  1. And that IS the rest of the story!

  2. Seems to provide support to the theory that the progressives worry about guns in the hands of private citizens because they can't control their own irresponsible or psychotic uses of guns -- they project their own weaknesses onto everyone else.

  3. One only needs to look at what is going on at present in post-chavez Venezuela for a glimpse into progressive plans for this country. Currently, after very questionable election results, protests have insued where as all the pro-chavistas have all the weapons. The opposition has been refused a look into election results and things have gotten violent. Let's hope the chavistas aren't using the Iranian method of shutting down election results protestors, though the government motorcycle riding thugs have hit the streets already. Time after time, country after country, the lesson is the same. And it HAS happened here once before, when Blacks were denied a firearm by Southern Dixiecrats, and went through another horrific period in their history. Rather than Never, we should say, Never Again.

  5. Facebook is not a reliable source for information, in case you weren't aware.

The Ft. Hood shooter lived in either VA (before going to Ft. Hood) or Texas. Neither of those states has partisan registration.

Jared Lee Loughner was a registered INDEPENDENT.

The Virginia Tech shooter was a RESIDENT ALIEN and thus COULD NOT be registered to vote. Also, it is not only Democrats who hated Bush.

The allegation that James Holmes was a registered Democrat came from a blogger who found the registration for a DIFFERENT James Holmes. He later owned up to his mistake and retracted his original piece: http://www.poynter.org/latest-news/regret-the-error/181910/abc-news-breitbart-fall-short-in-owning-up-to-mistakes-on-colorado-theater-shooter/

I don't have time to go through and refute every erroneous claim presented here. All I have to say is that people who truly care about the future and safety of this country, regardless of their political affiliation, should be focused on finding solutions instead of making every issue one of "Conservatives vs. Liberals." I know you believe this country is going to hell in a hand basket but you should realize that a huge part of the problem is this "Us vs. Them" mentality.

  7. Oh lighten up, Anon. Do you really think any of these guys voted for anyone with an R beside their name. The vast majority of those who claim "Independent" vote Democrat.
No one here mentioned Bush, nor "Hate" for him, but i doubt we all agree with all his policies either.
We all know what a Progressive is, and they afflict both parties (including your Independent genre)and are aware of the dichotomy of "D and R".
As for the blogger who admitted his wrong when Brietbart wouldn't, it doesnt disprove that the Gifford shooter was how he voted or to which party he felt closest to. He may have been like you and as an Independent, Hated they dichotomy.
I don't have time to go through and rufute all your statements either, so have a wonderful day and try to mellow out a bit.

    1. Independent does not mean Democrat. My entire family is registered Independent after a few incidents at polls where most of the people registered to one party had voting problems.

    2. I understand why many people no longer want to claim an association with either party and i totally understand people have their reasons for doing what you and your family did. This is why i said, "the vast majority".
That being said, i reference an article on the recent Ricin letter (Elvis) guy, Paul Kevin Curtis, a self described Independent.
If you'll scroll down to his (confirmed) "facebook" photo:

Again, no reflection on people like you, as i can relate. Rather another failure of the media Left narrative. How long can they hide the truth?

  8. FREEDOM NOT GLOBAL SLAVERYApril 18, 2013 at 11:31 AM

Please DO NOT overlook the fact that all these mass murders are on and/or have been on PSYCHOTROPIC drugs. FIX the cause(get rid of the drugs that cause violence and suicidal actions and/or monitor these druggies much more closely) FIX the cause! Interesting how progressive liberals always try to shoot the messenger, scream with emotionalism and Never use factual data.

  9. Enola,

The whole deal in Boston is a mess. Residents warned not open thier doors unless its the police.
I was talking to a friend and he told me his wife said "I bet they wished they had guns right now to protect themselves in Boston"

I updated my blog and I put in this paragragh

On the prepardness thing and how this relates to the deal in Boston, stay away from large crowds, mobs, unattended bags, and people that look like bad people. Your instincts may be “politically incorrect” but if they keep you alive, then your doing something right.
