Teaching a small child to take responsibility for their actions will make more difference in the world than anything else we can teach. I have two young children that have yet to reach the stage to understand this, but I will continue to apply this to my life so that I may teach them by example. This will also be shared with those in my life who seem to have a hard time understanding personal responsibilty.

This concept is no longer taught and the only way to get it back is to teach our children. Again, thank you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8294304458677955232.post-78762860507448889942011-07-02T05:42:04.842-07:002011-07-02T05:42:04.842-07:00Fantastic post Enola! I prayed they will rediscover their roots and that their hearts would again be turned toward Jesus. Sometimes I think in early adulthood they can go through a time of exploring. But at least you have planted the seeds in them and that will always be there!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8294304458677955232.post-40214174107003555732011-07-01T12:01:22.142-07:002011-07-01T12:01:22.142-07:00Reading this post reminded me of an animation I sa...Reading this post reminded me of an animation I saw, explaining Libertarianism in very plain visual terms. I think it is amazing and a concept I hope I am passing on to my kids. I homeschooled 3 of our 4 children....Taught them Godly character....when the boys went out in the world to work, everything we taught them at home went WAY SOUTH...they all think that they are victims and two of them, the two younger ones have become lazy and very entitlement oriented..They used to share Jesus with friends...Breaks our hearts....Please pray for our wayward sons...I know that the Lord is Faithful to complete the work He began in them, but the process is painful to watch.
Thank you for letting me share.
Sandy in NCSandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02356268221254384535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8294304458677955232.post-9299972815759604902011-06-30T09:11:33.782-07:002011-06-30T09:11:33.782-07:00Enola, have I told you lately just how well you wr...Enola, have I told you lately just how well you write and get your point across? Thank you for this beautifully written lesson.

By the way, I spent the whole day yesterday with a couple of socialists (don't ask how I met them, it's a long story) and afterwards, as I drove home, I could do nothing but shake my head at their total lack of understanding regarding the concept of personal responsbility. That personal responsibility BUILDS civility, it doesn't destroy it.

On a related note: from now on, when I refer to PR, I will not be referring to Public Relations, but instead I will be referring to Personal Responsibility. Let's reclaim the language, the left doesn't own it.

NoCal GalAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8294304458677955232.post-25865290680713994152011-06-30T08:10:01.790-07:002011-06-30T08:10:01.790-07:00Such a beautiful picture of the mother and daughte...Such a beautiful picture of the mother and daughter...I wonder what a modern version of that might look like?
